Aisle Style

see how one city bride donned kate spade new york for her "i do's"

"we adore a great love story, especially one that involves kate spade new york. take this sweet yarn from new bride (and kate spade new york fanatic), cally carbone. the 27-year-old nyc fashion student was bursting with joy when her then-beau, vincent, popped the question one evening last year, but she had to hold her excitement until later in the night. “he proposed during the opening symphony at the new york philharmonic, so i had to whisper my answer, ‘yes!’” she delightfully recalls. “a few musicians saw, and they gave us thumbs up during intermission. it was lovely.”
fast forward to summer and the couple, fresh on the heels of their new york city wedding at st. ignatius loyola (3), are still making music. “while the ceremony was the most meaningful part for us, the reception was our big celebration,” said the bride, who mingled with guests and danced till dawn in our sparkly charm heels (1). “my six-year-old nephew requested the song ‘who let the dogs out.’ we couldn’t turn down his request and break his heart, so we played it. little did we know it would bring everyone to the dance floor. no one left all evening!”
take a peek at our other cameos from the wedding below, from cally’s rehearsal dinner outfit (2, “the mademoiselle dress is elegant, classic and the perfect pop of color,” she raved) to the reception, where paper flowers served as seating cards (5) and the newlyweds toasted with our bow-bedecked grace avenue champagne flutes (4). “bows were a central part of our theme, inspired by kate spade new york,” she explained, “it helped create the elegant, playful look i was going for.”"
